Readers for People with Dementia
It is not unusual for a person with Alzheimer's or dementia to stop reading newspapers, magazines and books, but that doesn't mean that they have to stop reading. These dementia readers have been carefully designed to allow them to continue reading by using large print and a readable font, one-sided printing, cues to help turn the pages, and a clean design with few distractions.
There are a wide variety of subjects to choose from to help match the reader to the interests of the person. In a facility, a dementia reading group can be a highly successful and popular activity. See our article Montessori Reading Groups for Dementia for more information.
Note that some readers are "print on demand" and may not ship for 2 to 3 days.
