How to Use
- Start by offering the pieces from only one bag at a time. If the player finds this too easy, increase the challenge by offering the pieces from more than one bag. With a little guidance, a person with dementia or Alzheimer's can complete the puzzle on their own leading to a sense of pride and accomplishment.
- Most people start a puzzle by completing the border first, and that's how we do it. Starting with the first bag, the player can work on the top border.
- Once that is complete, the pieces in each of the next three bags are used (one at a time) to complete the rest of the border.
- The pieces in the last two bags are used to finish the puzzle.
- Once completed, the final step is for the player to take the puzzle apart and sort the pieces back into the color-coded bags.

Beautiful puzzle with several help guides

This is a beautiful puzzle with the different guides to help a person put it together. My husband has Alzheimers/dementia and for him the puzzle was too advanced even with the helpful guides.

Love this puzzle!

This puzzle is well made - nice thick pieces and laminated "puzzle mats". I like that there are many options to use, particularly as they progress in their dementia journey. My dad is mid stage Alzheimer's and while he likes doing the larger puzzles with my mom, he still struggles. I was worried he would think I was treating him like a child when I presented this to him, he did say "I think even I could do this puzzle". In the end he sat for 45 minutes doing it by himself, which is great and will give my mom a break. I started him with the outline of the shapes and put it in the lid of the box. I could see moving to the color dots later as he has issues. I really appreciate finding this.

Grandma loves it!!

This puzzle is 2 of 3 that I ordered for my grandmother who has Alzheimer's and Dementia. She loved playing cards, but can no longer do that because she's having a hard time remembering how to play. I wanted to get her something that would allow her to work with her brain and help with her mobile dexterity in her hands. There are 3 ways this puzzle can be out together: by picture (like a normal puzzle); by using the enclosed colored stickers; or, by matching the puzzle piece to the correct outline on a template. She's already put the puzzle together 5 times since she's received it. These puzzles are a winner in my book and I highly recommend if you're in the market for this specific type of item. Zero complaints from me (or grandma!!).

Brilliant idea!

This puzzle is perfect for someone who struggles with picking up small, thin pieces due to arthritis. Working the puzzle in the box frame is a huge plus. It helps to figure out the edge pieces. We also love how bright the colors are so it’s easier for someone to see. I would totally recommend this puzzle to others and will be purchasing more from this company!!! Brilliant idea!
