Just like the title says, I took this out after we completed a puzzle just to encourage some small talk and we had a great time. The laughter was contagious and others came to join us!

Considering her cognition issues are very mild, she won't hold onto them, as they're now "completed", but will share them with others.These books are a great idea. Some of the "large print" is too dense in other literature, and these are a good solution for those looking for an easy, enjoyable read.I know they are also designed for those with more progressed cognition issues in mind.

The Cartoon States puzzle is great for all ages. I use it with the residents of my assisted living and memory care facility. They can hold the pieces, and we talk about their travels from their younger years as we put it together. The bright colors keep people interested along with the places from across our country. Thank you for creating a fun and educational activity.

These are great for getting discussions started. First the topics of the books are relevant, popular, and entertaining. Most older people have special memories of Bing Crosby, Sundays with family, and funny celebrities from TV. The books provide stories and facts, typed out in very large print; each of the twenty pages brings up something to talk about. The pages are heavy duty and spiral bound, so the entire book lies flat for easy handling. We are anxious to bring these out at an upcoming small group social at the retirement home, just to get the folks thinking. Five stars for the topics, construction of the books, and relevance to older people.

These three books from the "Carry on Reading" series are wonderful; Keeping Busy, Inc. published the extra-large print, spiral-bound volumes. One of the books focuses on the famous Bob Hope, with interesting information about him and his work. Another is titled "Times Have Changed", and it covers everyday life, a few social customs, and inventions. The last one reminisces about radio, television, and newspapers as important for news communication. The books are heavy duty and constructed well for regular use. We plan to make them available at the nursing home for independent or group activities for the residents; many of those folks have vision problems, but were formerly avid readers. Five stars--these books are a great idea!

My Dad is 93 and he absolutely LOVES these books! The print is super big and the spiral binding makes them really easy for him to handle. The subjects are things that he's interested in and, much more than that, they give him something to talk about with me and his CNAs. These are the BEST books I've found for him and I hope they come out with more in the series

My elderly Mom with cognitive decline has lots of trouble with her eyes. A few years ago she tried large print books but even with her glasses they were tough, and we tried a Kindle but she struggled to learn to use it. I'm hopeful these books will be a success. The print is gigantic and the pages are a manageable length. I also like the material these "books" are printed on. It's not paper but thick and sturdy cardstock, perfect for somebody with poor dexterity and fine motor issues to grasp. I think these books are good value, too. Under $20 for 3 seems very affordable.

My 93 year old Dad picked up the Bing Crosby book and started reading it to me immediately! Dad has macular and I have tried other, large print, books before but, although he could SEE the print, he could concentrate on the lengthy passages. The passages in these books are JUST the right length. Just a few sentences and they are INTERESTING! An anecdote - something Dad can share with me. I've already ordered the second set and I really hope you come out with a third set soon! If you have an older parent who is bored just sitting around watching TV, order these books NOW and, hopefully, they will interact with you again too like my Dad has done with me!

Bought this expressions game for a senior with dementia. We do not play the game, per say. Rather, we read the expressions from the cards and our senior finishes the idioms. It's been a great tool for helping us evaluate how clear or focused our loved one is, and a great activity while sitting at the park or in a medical office when a distraction is needed. Mind you, there are a few idioms in the game/package that they do not know and some we have not heard either (two, I think). However, there are 48 cards and lots of expressions we have all heard. E.g. "that's water under the _ _ _ _ _ _ , a roof over our _ _ _ _ _ , etc." Great find!

We used this with 96 year old senior who has short-term memory issues. It was great - he perked up, was engaged, joined in the conversations about various topics. Highly recommend.

After a little TLC (and a touch of glue), this is a great dominoes game for my mom with dementia. The blocks are smooth and easy to read. The concepts and challenges on the cards are not too difficult, but do require a little bit of thought. This is a great option to occupy a few minutes each day and feel like we are challenging some logic and matching. Thank you for not putting the full description on the box. It makes her very sad when she realizes her memory is failing her.

Though I am not using it for it's intended purpose, we are happy with it. The domino's are large and easy to see. We are using them to help our child recognize number patterns and learn math. She enjoys these as they are colorful and engaging.
