How to Use
- Start by offering the pieces from only one bag at a time. If the player finds this too easy, increase the challenge by offering the pieces from more than one bag. With a little guidance, a person with dementia or Alzheimer's can complete the puzzle on their own leading to a sense of pride and accomplishment.
- Most people start a puzzle by completing the border first, and that's how we do it. Starting with the first bag, the player can work on the top border.
- Once that is complete, the pieces in each of the next three bags are used (one at a time) to complete the rest of the border.
- The pieces in the last two bags are used to finish the puzzle.
- Once completed, the final step is for the player to take the puzzle apart and sort the pieces back into the color-coded bags.

Nice picture, puzzle and suggestions

A great picture puzzle designed for those suffering from dementia. I bought this after consulting with my sister who looks after my aging mother who is starting to show signs of dementia. We're hoping this will help her and also help with some of the anxiety that she's starting to experience as well.It's a nice relaxing picture and puzzles are typically a nice pass time to help relax as well. There are suggestions on how to work the puzzle into a comfortable time with your senior and also suggestions on talking points.Pieces are on the larger size and there are different layouts you can place in the box top (as suggested) to assist with the puzzle building. I'm hopeful with will help my mom relax more and give her some activity she will enjoy.

My grandma loves it!!

This puzzle is 1 of 3 that I ordered for my grandmother who has Alzheimer's and Dementia. She loved playing cards, but can no longer do that because she's having a hard time remembering how to play. I wanted to get her something that would allow her to work with her brain and help with her mobile dexterity in her hands. There are 3 ways this puzzle can be out together: by picture (like a normal puzzle); by using the enclosed colored stickers; or, by matching the puzzle piece to the correct outline on a template. She's already put the puzzle together 5 times since she's received it. These puzzles are a winner in my book and I highly recommend if you're in the market for this specific type of item.
